Had a great Primary School gathering last night with a strength of "3 and no blank file". We met up at Dhoby Ghaut MRT before proceeding to Swensens for our dinner. The guest appearance is none other than the "mia for 10 years" Seah Ren Feng (email not verified). Another rare guest was Ho Min Zhou a.k.a James (He did not have this Christian name in the olden days).

We wanted to wait for all dishes to be served before munching in. Poor Min Zhou, his salad was the first to come and had to wait for like 15min before able to dig in. The last dish to be served was for Kelly, a princess who doesn't act like a princess. haha don't be mistaken, I am not so crude, its taken from her blog.

After dinner, we could not decide where to go as the organiser did not do proper planning! I am not the organiser this time round and I shall not mention who :P We then decided to go Mindcafe and should there be no space to accomodate 9 children, we shall go for a game of pool instead.

As expected, it was full house. We have our game of pool, while some of the girls were busy playing with their handphones (like sec sch kids huh?). Luckily they did not blast their music from their handphone :P

We left at 11pm then decided to have supper at Rochor Soya Beans. The girls ordered too much you tiao and ended up too full for my prata later :(

The gathering ended with all of us boarding bus 147 as all of us live around Serangoon and Hougang area (cool!)

SINGAPORE : Singaporeans who have not signed up for their 2007 GST Credits have until next Monday (31 December) to do so.

The Finance Ministry says those who do not sign up by this deadline will not be eligible to receive their 2007 GST Credits and Senior Citizens' Bonus.

As of 26 December, over 2.2 million Singaporeans, or 96 percent of the 2.3 million who qualify, have signed up to receive their GST Credits.

The government would like to urge the remaining 87,000 Singaporeans who have not signed up to do so quickly.

More information can be found at www.gstoffset.gov.sg or you can call the CPF Board at 1800-2222-888.

Singaporeans only need to sign up once to receive their GST Credits and Senior Citizens' Bonus for all the four years from 2007 to 2010.

Those who do not sign up for their 2007 GST Credits will still be eligible for future payouts and will receive a notification letter to sign up for their 2008 GST Credits from the CPF Board in May 2008.

There will be no retrospective payment of 2007 GST Credits and Senior Citizens' Bonus. - CNA/ch

Spent both the Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my Li Ling. We have family dinner on Christmas eve at my house. My mum cooked her favorite vegetables and carrot soup (Sorry no picture). Simple and nice dinner. After which we proceeded to GV Bishan to catch the movie "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Very cute show, we spent $16 for 2 tickets and $5.80 for the popcorn and drinks. The price of 1 ticket was $8 because I used my Safra membership card to book and used Golden Village membership to buy the popcorn which entitles a free Coke. After the show, we proceeded to Jalan Kayu for supper after the countdown. Unfortunately, the supper was not very satisfying. They missed out my dear's cheese prata, their egg prata was not fully cooked, their fried chicken was not very tasty. But we still enjoyed our Christmas Eve nevertheless.

Its Christmas day! We started our day with a visit to Expo's Hall 8 for CHC's Christmas Service which lao dear wanted to attend very much so I accompanied her.

Then we proceeded to Orchard Road as we wanted to get Christmas present for each of us. We were surprised when we came out of the MRT Station as Orchard Road (Yes, I really meant the road itself) was filled with people instead of the usual buzzing cars. We then found out that the road was closed for some Christmas performance. Wasted no chance to have a walk on one of the busiest night road in Singapore, we get onto the road and became trigger-happy couple.





After the prawn mee breakfast at 10.45am, naturally I felt hungry at 3pm (I ate a lot, but someone still doubting that! haha). Wanted to eat my favourite Chicken Rice at Lucky Plaza but its closed on Christmas day! argh. Lunch was changed to Yoshinoya instead.






After lunch, we roamed around Orchard Road but could not find any present we wanted. Being too tired (exhausted I should say after all the walking), we decided to head back to my house for some resting before having our western food dinner downstairs. Again, to prove that we were really exhausted, she slept on my bed and I was sleeping on the floor immediately upon reaching home. We did not even have the energy to bathe, that explains me sleeping on the floor.

Chow plays a man who lives in a partly demolished house. He takes in a homeless boy (who is actually played by a girl, Xu Jiao). Whether the semi-demolished house and the homeless boy are on Earth, or on the alien planet is not clear. As Chow's character can't afford to buy a toy for the child, he finds a makeshift toy in the garbage and brings it back to his "son". The "toy" is actually a powerful alien device and the aliens are desperate to get it back.^[4] Some rumours state that it is a "pet" rather than a "toy".^[5]

As mentioned in my previous few entry here, we were "recall" back by our unit to receive our "Best Unit Competition" medal and also to celebrate early Christmas with our ex-unit which we spent 1 year with.

We met up at Boon Lay MRT at 4.45pm. Unfortunately, there were only 4 of us, Joel, Eugene, Wee Hian and me. Ray and Justin could not make it due to their work commitments. Da Xuan don't know why don't want to come. Jeremiah just touched down from his Hong Kong Holiday trip and could not make it. Thats about all of our family.

We proceeded to get a taxi to SAFTI's Army Museum, thats where the celebration is held at. Upon reaching the place, we saw lots of familiar, also unfamiliar faces. Coming out of the lift, we immediately saw our tall and easily recognised CO who always carried a smile. We held conversations with lots of our ex-BC, 2IC etc before proceeding in to receive our medals and to catch up with our specs and men.

Soon, it was time to say goodbye but we know it won't be the last time then we see each other because we are going back to camp next year for our CO's Change of Parade. I don't know why but we seems to have so much feelings for our ex-unit that makes us naturally wanting to go back to see them when opportunity arises. Credits to the CO for making our ex-unit to develop such a special and close bonds.


Knowing that the celebration did not cater for dinner, we went to Bugis to have a steamboat buffet. We walk round and round before settling down for dinner at Chuan Yi Pin, the steamboat buffet directly opposite Bugis Junction (Across the street). It cost $17.40nett but the food ain't very fantastic. Definitely not worth it though it met our objectives. Imagine the feelings of hungry we felt from 6.30pm to 9pm before finally able to put something into our mouth.
