Went to school for make-up lesson on Saturday. Brought Bella along as something near my school attracted her more than anything, ya what else but FOOD FOOD FOOD! After our brunch, I sent her to the nearby Ikea building at Queensway while I went for my lesson.

Bad weather though

Luckily, the rain subsided when we reached there :)

$32 for 18 packets of "Zhi Bao Ji", 1 plate of noodle, fried rice and chinese tea pot

As time was of essence, I decided to settle our dinner nearby our house. Hence; after few considerations criteria (Rice for me as I need carbo for my marathon the next day, the place must have Watson as Wendy needed to get her stuff), we have decided to have our dinner at the hawker centre above Bishan Interchange. Amazing, the food there was great! Great = nice to eat yet afforable.

34th Month Anniversary

Out for a full day during our monthly "dua li ji" (Big Ocassion), we first set off early in the morning to Expo (again) to Hall 5 (again) to collect my race pack. After getting remarks from my friends who collected the day before, it would appear that we need to queue for a good one to two hours before we can finally collect it. Hence, we have decided to go for breakfast first. Since Expo is near to Bedok and there locates a very very nice stall selling very very nice lor-mee since I was young, Bella and I decided to hitch a ride (from the courtest bus driver who required us to tap a card called ez-link, so nice of him) to Bedok MRT via Bus 24. The previous time we went the stall was closed and fortunately, it was opened on a busy Friday morning. Though the quality has dropped, but it still far surpass any lor mee I have eaten in Singapore thus far.

Right: The super nice Lor-Mee at Bedok Interchange

After our satisfying breakfast, we headed straight to Expo via MRT. Fortunately, the queue was not as bad and we managed to collect the race pack within an hour or so. As promised, Bella will get her favourite chocolate shake at Billy Bomber and catch the Madagascar on the big screen at Marina Square.

Bella enjoying life to the fullest (With chocolate shake and food!)

Time was still aplenty after our light snacks at Billy Bombers, Bella suggested going to the arcade (shes a gamer! those cartoon games that is). We did not order any popcorn this time round due to the breakfast and snacks within hours of time span.

Gamer in action!

Finally, the day ended with a wine tasting session at Lower Delta Road's The Wine Symphony. The place was opened by Bella's brother's friend's elder sister. We managed to taste a variety of wine ranging from white and red, sweet and non-sweet, heavy and light, expensive and inexpensive, Australia and more Australia. Not a fan of New World Wine especially Australia, Bella gave a strong critics against some of the wine with a tone similar to Robert Park, her idol.

Electricity tariff reduced by nearly 24.7% for first quarter of 2009

No Comment - Post a comment

SINGAPORE: The electricity tariff for households will be reduced by 24.7 per cent to 22.93 cents from January 1 to March 31 next year.

SP Services said that on average, the tariff for all customer categories will be down by 24.9 per cent due to lower fuel oil prices.

It added that for the first quarter of next year, tariffs are pegged to a lower forward fuel oil price of S$92.99 per barrel, which is 40 per cent lower than that of S$155.14 per barrel for the current quarter.

The electricity tariff is reviewed quarterly.

Source.

At a price of S$92.99 (US$60), the oil price pegged is still a little on the high side compared to current oil price of US$50. Hopefully, we will see further drop in the second quarter of 2009. Cheers.

Busy Sunday

Woke up at 9am with Bella, we kicked off our Sunday by sending my dad to his workplace at Pasir Ris before driving to Sitex @ Expo. Thinking that there would be car park lots before Sitex opened at 11am, we found ourselves needed to drive to Simei MRT's nearby carpark before taking a train down to Expo (argh).

Left: Bella with her super big Sushi breakfast
Right: Not allowed any breakfast by Bella, I could only watch her munching off her breakfast wahhaa j/k

Bought this MSI Wind U100 for Sister ($739)

The 19" Samsung 943BWX for Sister @ $209

Casio Exilim EX-S10 for Bella @ $399 (Bella even got a name for it! haha)

After our hoot, we made our way out of the super crowded Expo. We head off back home to have our lunch nearby my house's coffeeshop. Then proceeded to AMK Hub to get Wendy's facial stuff from skinfood. After which, we went to her house to change bedsheet before finally heading back my home to fix up the hoots!

Bella fell asleep on my bed halfway doing through her work. Waking her up at 8pm, we went off to fetch my dad for dinner. Dad suggested eating seafood at Changi Village.

My mystery MSN friend gave me the link to the youtube video below.

Can you imagine the time and effort needed to train over thousands of soldiers to come out with that solid single movement of precise marches? Their movement is so neat, tidy and precise!

Recently, hes been giving me videos showcasing the Military Power of China. Crazy fellow indeed. But we have to agree that the military power of the great China has been increasing exponentially over the last decade. They take great pride in their own army, huge quantity army of soldiers to be precise. Their soldiers are well disciplined and take respect in their uniform. Now, what is your opinion of our NSF walking around in town after booking out?
